Day 1  USA - Berlin
Depart to Europe. Enjoy the in-flight entertainment program. Dinner will be served after take off and a snack before arrival in Europe.

Day 2  Berlin
Welcome to Germany. Transfer to your hotel in Berlin. In the afternoon explore the historic city center of the German capital. Walk through the Nikolai Quarter, the Alexanderplatz, the Boulevard Unter den Linden and see the Brandenburg Gate. Dinner at a local restaurant.   (D)

Day 3  Berlin & Potsdam
Meet your local guide for a city sightseeing tour of Berlin and Potsdam. The morning is devoted to the major sights of Berlin including a visit to the Wall Museum. In the afternoon visit Potsdam where you will see Sanssouci Palace and Cecelienhof Palace, the sight of the Potsdam agreement. Return to Berlin via the Glienicker Bruecke, site of many spy exchanges during the cold war.  (B, D)

Day 4  Berlin – Dresden – Prague
This morning you will meet your bus driver. He will be with you for the remainder of  your stay. Departure to Dresden. Upon arrival meet your guide who will take you on a walking tour to show you the major sights of this exciting city.  After lunch (on your own) depart and cross the border into the Czech Republic. Your destination is the “Golden City” of Prague.  (B, D)

Day 5  Prague
Morning sightseeing tour with a local guide. See Prague Castle, the seat of the government, St. Vitus Cathedral and the historic part of the town with one of the oldest Jewish Synagogues in Europe. (B, D)

Day 6   Prague – Linz - Salzburg
Today we depart for Austria. Your first stop is Linz, famous for its annual Bruckner festival. Enjoy the “Hauptplatz” the very center of the city. Continue on to Salzburg. Your accommodations for tonight are in a typical country inn just outside the city.  (B, D)

Day 7   Salzburg
This morning enjoy a walking tour of Mozart’s birth town. During your tour you will visit some of the sights from the musical, “Sound of Music.”  In the afternoon visit the saltmine in Hallein. You will dress in miner's clothes,  ride in a small train along the galleries and the cross an illuminated subterranean lake by raft.   (B, D)

Day 8  Salzburg – Lake Chiemsee - Munich
First stop today is the village of Prien. Board a boat which will take you to the island of Herrenchiemsee. Kind Ludwig built this palace in an attempt to copy the palace of Versailles. After a visit to the palace walk back to the pier and return to Prien. On to Munich, the capital of Bavaria. (B, D)

Day 9 Munich
Morning excursion to the former concentration camp Dachau just outside of Munich. In the afternoon do some last minute shopping. Tonight’s dinner will be served at the Hofbrauhaus while you enjoy a typical Bavarian folklore show.   (B, D)                                     

Day 10   Munich – USA
Say “Auf Wiedersehen” to Munich and Germany when you board your motor coach for your transfer to the Munich airport for your return flight to the U.S.  (B)
