SAMPLE OF LEADING AUSTRIA GOLF COURSES :
Golf Club Adamstal Franz Wittman
The club is situated at the foot of the Unterberg in the middle of the most wooded region in Middle Europe, in Lilienfeld, and therefore in Vienna's classical nearby resort. You play golf in untouched nature and tranquility. The course fits immaculately into the charming landscape.
Kitzbuhel – Eichenheim
On the outskirts of Kitzbuhel, one of the ultimate mountain golf experiences. The course is both stunning and amusing with roller coaster fairways and greens slotted into narrow valleys. A stern test of golf, fitness and vertigo!
Golf Club Millstätter
This 18-hole course is located on a sunny, elevated plateau directly above Lake Millstätter See. Set in an amazingly beautiful landscape, it offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain and lake scenery.
Kitzbühel – Schwarzsee
The picturesque scenery of the breathtaking panorama of the Kitzbühel Alps and only 4 km away from the city centre of Kitzbühel accentuates the quality of this friendly course. The course offers from newcomers to scratch-golfers the ideal place to enjoy an exciting round of golf.
Golf and Sportclub Fontana
The course ranks among the best in Europe. The greens and bent grass fairways are to be compared to the best US-courses. The perfectly placed bunkers, water hazards and the large lake at the 17th and the 18th give the course its own character.
Sheer rockfaces peer down at you from both sides of this narrow valley. The course itself jumps backwards and forwards over the river which comes into play on nearly every hole.
Golf Club Enzesfeld
The fairways of this championship course cut deeply into the forest and the quick greens offer quite a challenge for even the best of golfers. The steadily changing wind conditions always pose difficulties. The course is situated in immediate proximity of the Palace Enzesfeld and has been a site for great championships for many years.
The Country Club Atzenbrugg
A wonderful golf landscape was created out of the flat Tullnerfeld area with two 18-hole-courses. The Diamond Course of the Country Club Atzenbrugg and the slightly shorter Gold Course guarantee different golfing styles. The signature of the courses is the many holes surrounding the large artificial lake in the center of the course.
The first few holes twist and turn through the farms behind the clubhouse before switching to some truly magnificent holes under the watchful gaze of the Steinernes Meer ridge that glows pink and orange in the evening sun.
Golf Club Sterngartl
Embedded in the soft hilly country north of Linz and diligently incorporated into the country with an architecture integrating everything the nature of the Waldviertal offers: rolling hills, lush fairways, the gurgling creek, the light heights and the massive blocks of granite.
Kaiserwinkl Golf Club
The Kaiserwinkl Golf Club Kössen is a jewel in the Alps with its 18-hole-course in the middle of dense green meadows, forests and the jagged massif of the Kaiser Mountains. The narrow fairways and well placed greens demand a precise game.
Golf Club Mieminger Plateau
The course offers 9 amazing playing courses with astounding views of the imposing mountain scenery. Standing on the tee, you feel as if you are playing in the clouds with the magnificent peaks looking down on you. Do not be fooled by the beautiful panoramas as the course itself is a great test of golf.
Dachstein Tauern Golf and Country Club
Designed by Bernhard Langer, the course in the scenic Dachstein-Tauern region offers demanding fairways and fast greens. The watery landscape and lush fairways create a feel as if you were playing in Florida, without the threat of alligators.
Colony Club Gutenhof
Situated in the middle of old riverside forests, 36 varied holes of golf are offered here. The first course, characterized by multiple water hazards, follows the creek of the Kalten Gang. The second course leads away from the club house into open terrain with solely playfully demanding fairways.
