Band Tour of China

DAY 1 (USA/Aloft)

Depart the United States aboard your overnight trans--Pacific flight to China.

DAY 2 (Arrive BEIJING)

Welcome to Beijing! After passing through necessary customs formalities, you will be met by your Guide and transferred to your Four Star Landmark Hotel. This evening you will have a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 3 (BEIJING)

Breakfast at your hotel. Today you will be given a full day of sightseeing, including Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world: Forbidden City, Ming and Qing Dynasties, Imperial Palace, and the Temple of Heaven, where the Emperors pray for a good harvest. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants.

DAY 4 (BEIJING)

Breakfast at your hotel. Board your motorcoach for a half day Hutong tour, where you will have a chance to have a glimpse of people's daily life, including nearby Beihai Park where you will have lunch. This afternoon is reserved for a joint concert performance with Beijing High School N. 166, in a local concert hall. Following the concert, you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with the Chinese students. Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 5 (BEIJING)

Breakfast at your hotel. Today you will be given a full day tour to one of the Ming Dynasty Emperor's Tomb, and the Great Wall of China, the largest defense system in ancient times. This evening you will return to Beijing for a

Peking Duck Dinner.

DAY 6 (BEIJING)

Breakfast at your hotel. More tours await you today, including the Summer Palace, the Beijing Zoo (including Pandas) and the Confucius and lama Temples. Lunch and dinner included.

DAY 7 (BEIJING - SHANGHAI)

Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the Beijing Airport for your two hour flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival in Shanghai you will be met by your guide and transferred to the Galaxy Hotel or similar. After lunch, you will be given a city tour, including the Jade Buddha Temple, the Children's Palace and the Bund. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants are included.

DAY 8 (SHANGHAI)

Breakfast at your hotel. This morning you will visit the Shanghai Museum, and the You Garden in the old town, including lunch. This afternoon you will visit the Shanghai Xingzhi Art School and give a concert at the school following the visit. You will have a chance to mingle with the students afterwards. Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 9 (SHANGHAI)

Breakfast at your hotel. Following breakfast you will have an excursion to Suzhou, the "City of Gardens", where you will visit the gardens and the Silk factory. Lunch in Suzhou and dinner at your hotel.

DAY 10 (SHANGHAI - USA)

Breakfast at your hotel. This morning you will bid farewell to your Chinese hosts for the drive to the airport and your return flight to the United States.
